Before they escaped from us, we pulled Max and Brian from Escape the Fate aside and tried to set the record straight on who was the best Guitar Hero and what exactly did these boys do in their spare time.

SuburbanHorror: So, how’s your first day on Warped Tour?

Max: It’s good. It’s a little hot, but it’s getting into the swing of things, stuff like that.

SH: Okay Chip put up a statement, and I want to see if you guys agree. Who is the best on the tour bus at Guitar Hero?

M: That would be me. No, just kidding. Wait, no it is me! Hands down: I am the best at guitar hero! If anyone says anything else, they are lying.

Brian: I play guitar; he plays Guitar Hero.

SH: But you play bass. So guitar hero is your true talent?

M: Exactly. I can multi-task.

SH: So what’s your favorite song on Guitar Hero?

M: I shred all of them.

SH: So, it’s not Omar? (Readers note: Tour Manager Chip Schultz had proclaimed loudly that Omar was the best at Guitar Hero.)

M: No, Omar. Dude, Omar doesn’t even have an Xbox! God!

SH: I have a question about your tattoos. Are any of them especially meaningful to you?

M: Yeah this one on my hand is pretty meaningful to me. It’s for my grandpa. This one is meaningful for me. It’s our first bus tour and our record label.

SH: Epitaph?

M: Mmhmm.

SH: So when did you get your first tattoo?

M: When I was 18.

SH: Do you have any plans after Warped Tour?

M: (To Brian) Do you want to take this one? It’s fine if you want to answer one.

B: What? I wasn’t paying attention.

M: Psh. After Warped Tour, we’re doing a headlining tour in September with a band called Love/Hate Hero and another band called Bless the Fall, and a couple other bands. And after that, we’re going to be hitting this international tour called the Taste of Chaos International with the Used, Aiden, Rise Against, all those bands. And then, after that, we’ll be shooting a new music video and start working on the new album.

SH: So what is one of your favorite songs on the new album for each of you and why?

M: My favorite songs would have to be the first track on the album, "The Webs We Weave" and "There’s No Sympathy for the Dead," because there’s so much power and energy behind them.

B: Definitely "Sympathy for the Dead" and "Situations."

SH: What do you guys do on the tour bus besides play Guitar Hero?

M: Sleep, hang out, just watch TV. I don’t know.

SH: Is there anything that you guys all watch at the same time?

M: Well earlier today, we all sat down and watched Power Rangers, the Movie together - the one from 1995. YEAH! We watched that. We were like, "Oh Shit!"

SH:I used to think that was the greatest action movie of all time.

M: So did I. So did all of us, until we watched it.

SH: I always wanted to be the pink power ranger,

B: Yeah me too.

SH: And we never realized how racist it was until later when the pink power ranger had to be a girl, and the yellow one was asian, and the black one was black.

M: Well, in the movie the yellow one was black. They switched them out!

SH: Yeah there’s two movies. The one where the pink ranger turns all evil...

M: Okay, you are a bigger nerd than I am!
