Suburban Horror: So Tom, what's it like to be on Warped Tour?

Tom Higgenson: It's the shit. You get to see your best friends every day. Haley and Josh.

SH: What do you do to keep sane on tour?

TH: I have a cell phone and an Ipod. That's all you need for life pretty much.

SH: What are the top 5 most played songs on your Ipod?

TH: Ooo that's a hard one. Pretty much any Beatles song. Umm lots of new Plain White Ts because we just recorded a new record, and we're getting lots of new mixes - try to tweak little parts. And, that's about it. I like Panic! At the Disco.

SH: Me too. I saw you last year.

TH: You have interesting eye shadow. It's like silver.

SH: It's actually purple, but it's so old that it became silver.

TH: I can see the purple. Oh, sorry.

SH: No, it's okay. What do you do for fun?

TH: Interviews

SH: Besides interviews?

TH: Call people on my cell phone and listen to my IPod.

SH: That's it?

TH: (laughs) No. We have a bus this year, so it's a place to cool off and? sit around. Basically, just sit around and that is fun on Warped Tour because otherwise you would be walking around in the heat. And, on days off - we just had a date off the other day, and it was one of the best days off. I like seeing movies ...it's my favorite thing to do in life besides music. So this last day off in San Diego, I got to see a movie. I saw Superman Returns. We ate at this nice little restaurant. I bought some new jeans, and it was fun.

SH: What mall was it? I live in San Diego.

TH: I don't know it was downtown.

SH: Horton Plaza?

TH: I don't know. There was a Sam Goody, a Levis store, a Jamba Juice. A United Artists theater?

SH: I think it was Horton Plaza. What are your top 5 favorite movies?

TH: That's another impossible one. I like Roman Holiday - I'm a big Audrey Hepburn fan. I like It's a Wonderful Life. I like Cinema Paradiso - it's an Italian movie that won best picture in the 90s for best foreign film. Vanilla Sky, I like. Eternal Sunshine...

SH: Have you seen the original Vanilla Sky?

TH: Abre Los Ojos?

SH: I like the original better.

TH: Really? I Thought Vanilla Sky was the same movie but done more emotional. All the parts that could get you in the heart did in Vanilla Sky, for me at least.

SH: If you could tour with any band dead or alive...

TH: Armor for Sleep! Umm probably the Beatles, the best band ever. The band to tour with right now would be Fall Out Boy because they are one of the biggest bands in the world. The Strokes - I like them. Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen.

SH: Do you have any tattoos?

TH: No. No one in the band does. I think we might be the only band ever.

SH: Do you have any pets?

TH: I have a dog, cocker spaniel, named Glory.

SH: Did you bring it on tour?

TH: No, I live at home.

SH: Do you call your dog?

TH: No. I call my Mom.

SH: What is the message of plain white Ts?

TH: Plain White Ts. It's universal - anyone can wear one.
