 | An Angle The Truth Is That You Are Alive Drive Thru Records 2 out of 10 Band Website
There's nothing like being 'a little bit country' and 'a little bit rock and roll', right? Wrong. Try An Angle's new release 'The Truth Is That You Are Alive', an album with a deceptive title, ten minutes of this band and you'll be begging for death.
An Angle's new release, from main man Kris Anaya, is an album with good intentions gone bad. Although there are 22 different musicians on this album, the music is unfulfilling when all the instruments are finally put together. What ever happened to a bass, a guitar and a drummer? The lyrics need a serious overhaul and the vocals make you wish someone stopped this guy a long time ago and politely told him his talents lay elsewhere.
To add to this mixture of rock and country are a bad mix of female vocals. Sometimes so horrible and overpowering it makes you wonder if maybe Britney Spears can sing. With 'Red River' as a definite low point, it's hard to find a high point. Bottom line, forget you ever heard of An Angle, you'll be better off for it.
