 | Arsonists Get All The Girls Hits From The Bow Process Records 7 out of 10 Band Website
Although their name is pretty innovative, unfortunately their music
isn't. Arsonists play a speedy brand of hardcore influenced metal with
some keyboards thrown in here and there to mix things up. The vocals
switch between low-end cookie monster and a crunchier version of
Kermit the frog which somewhat makes up for the lack of originality in
the song writing. Don't get me wrong, there are some interesting
things happening rhythmically, at times the guitars make you turn your
head, and although mostly unnecessary, the keyboards do make some cool
sounds every now and then. Overall, "Hits from the Bow" is a solid
debut from this new band, but I'm not sure if it will really woo
people in mass numbers. This is the type of band that I assume is
fantastic live and if they hit the road enough they will definitely
make a name for themselves. Songs like "Canadian Unigod" and "City of
Angels Cakewalk" are the most memorable tracks, however you must wade
through twenty minutes of medio-core before meeting them.
