Remember when the Spice Girls proclaimed, "Girl Power!" with their short skirts and flirtatious behavior? Yeah, those girls have nothing on what Suffrajett has to offer for the female cause. If you are looking for rock with a caustic bite, look no farther - "Black Glitter" sparkles with perfection.

While some find Suffrajett's brutally honest sexual themes disturbing, the raunchy topics only add to the coarseness of the musical sound. "Like You Better" is the New Woman's anthem - something, the girls from Sex of the City would be singing if they weren't so obsessed with what their hair looked like and what shoes to wear. "Tricky Love" has the right amount of distortion, grit, and strained whinny vocals to make the song more punk rock than everything else these days.

But, the music isn't just punk and rock melodies. What sets "Black Glitter" apart from the rest is the albums ability to be intensely raw and incredibly danceable at the same time. Everybody should be listening to "Anyone Listening": the song will have you ramming into walls full speed as you manically shake your head and hips all over the venue floor.

Suffrajett picks up where X and the X-Ray Specs left off. However, the band isn't exactly just lead by your typical riot girl of yesteryear - the band's sexually charged energy brings something new that every rocker can enjoy.
