Children Of Bodom/God Forbid/ Through The Eyes Of The Dead
Anaheim H.o.B.
4/10/2006

Due to traffic and parking we missed the first band "Through The Eyes Of The Dead" and made it just in time to be disappointed by God Forbid. Not because they were bad musicians it’s just that its the same ole tune we've all heard so many times before. You know that whole MTV friendly metal. Avenged Sevenfold metal, Black Dahlia Murder metal. It's almost metalcore, plus their stage show left a lot to be desired, not much energy; it was almost as though they HAD to play and were doing it against their will. People moshed, but I think we all died inside a little bit. Finally it was time for what we had waited for all night. The shitty thing was there was no build up, no announcement that Bodom was coming out, no intro music, nothing. It didn't matter. Bodom was fucking amazing as always. The second they came out on stage the crowd went fucking ape shit, I got goose bumps. When the first started the crowd almost broke into a riot of people dancing and going out of their minds! They played songs that spanned every record, some old, some new, a few among many of the hit songs they played were: "Kneel 24-7", "Hate Me" and about a 10 second clip of cock-sucking Brittany spears shit single "Oops I Did It Again." The crowd was mixed on that one; half the people (myself included) were pissed that they would lower themselves like that. I mean could you picture Emperor covering Backstreet Boys? Fuck no! Others thought it was just a joke and laughed. All in all one amazing show, Bodom has not yet disappointed and I don't see it happening anytime soon!
